About Us
Hello! We're Billy and Serina, husband-and-wife and cofounders of SATX Pet Pigs | PORCINE Pet Shop.
We aim to bring joy and happiness to pig parents through the bonding process of pet pig ownership.
Our mission is to provide educational resources and guidance to pig owners like you to help foster a relationship of trust and cooperation between you and your pet pig through cooperative care.
We have served the pet pig community since 2019.
How it all began
"My heart swelled with a deep desire to love and care for a pet pig of my own ..."
In 2018, my husband and I were trying to become pregnant with our second baby. Over the next 18 months, I had one clinical miscarriage and countless “chemical pregnancies.”
At 39 years old, I was beginning to realize that having a second baby was looking more and more unlikely. Once my mind was set on the fact that I wasn’t going to get pregnant, my focus changed from trying to have a human baby to figuring out how to get a piggy one in my arms!
I became obsessed with watching cute pig videos. My heart swelled with a deep desire to love and care for a pet pig of my own! I prayed and prayed over this, even professing out loud to my husband, “I don’t know how it’s going to happen, but it’s going to happen!”
God gives us infinitely more than we may ask or we may think ...
In less than one week’s time of me professing my heart’s desire out loud, God not only gave us what I desired, He gave us infinitely more! I was asked by someone at my church if we could rescue a pregnant mama pig… my response? “Why yes! Yes please!”
So it began, our piggy journey started with “Mama Pig.” She gave birth to eight healthy piglets in November 2019 – the same month I was unknowingly two months pregnant with our sweet baby girl.
I could never have imagined that that first litter of piglets would lead us to where we are now, but looking back, I can’t imagine it any other way than the way God had it all planned out for us.

In addition to these benefits, caring for pigs can also teach responsibility and empathy, especially in children.
The happiness that people experience when we have helped place a pet pig in their lives brings us so much joy!
